(11) Thinking about DAO‘s development significance from Axie Infinity

        The most important thing for me in this year is that Axie Infinity, a blockchain NFT game, makes me come to the world of blockchain. Before August, I still had inherent prejudice against blockchain and crypto currency. I always believed that blockchain was a Ponzi scheme and had no real value. But after two months study, I finally understand that Blockchain technology is not problematic, it is thought to be because it is used by many scammers then a large number of scams happened . 

        I think I still need to spend effort into this technology and many other blockchain projects to learn and master in order to adapt to the changes brought about by blockchain technology and projects. I believe it will be a big change for all of us.

One of the long-term goals of Axie Infinity is build (based on game) a DAO （decentralized autonomous organization）  with unlimited vitality, just like a borderless country with virtual territory Lunacia and virtual citizen Axie, and this virtual decentralized country will eventually be controlled by the players. To achieve this ultimate goal, there is still a long way to go, many problems need to be solved. Fortunately, Axie Infinity has gathered a lot of energic players from various countries and accumulated a lot of wealth. Other contents need all of us work harder!

In fact, most of the organizations in the world are centralized, and many of them are very successful, but this does not mean that centralized organizations are perfect and applicable to all situations.

First of all, in a centralized organization, instructions are sent from top to bottom. During instruction transmission and execution, each time it is passed to another one, the content and effect will have some attenuation. We can see that many instructions are good at the starting points, but they have been misinterpreted when they are executed to the bottom, and the effect is greatly reduced.

Secondly, in a centralized organization, people at the bottom may not have strong enthusiasm and initiative. We see the popularity of "fishing" and "laying flat" verbs that express negative emotions.This is because young people feel that their efforts are not well rewarded and meaningless, their motivation to work hard has been hit.

Thirdly, a centralized organization may produce behaviors that marginalize vulnerable group, and vulnerable group may not be able to get recognition and help by their own efforts. The DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) that contains game content, encourages those players with resources and those players have energy and time to share revenue (crypto currency) by scholarships (a kind of lease), these crypto currency can be traded for real money. This way of sharing game profits is actually very helpful in solving the problem of making a living for the unemployed during the cov-19 epidemic. In the future, this form can help to solve the problem of employment of the disabled.

Although centralized organizations have helped those at the bottom through charity and other ways, it is not enough for people at the bottom to passively wait and accept rescue. In mobilizing the initiative of low income people, decentralized organizations can do better. For example, YGG (Yield Guild Games) in the Philippines, which has its own tokens, has invested in many NFT games including Axie Infinity, and has played a game-based role in helping Filipinos solve the unemployment problem caused by the cov-19. This DAO plays a very good role. I didn't purchase its tokens, because at present I only like the content of Axie Infinity, and I don’t have enough time, energy, or money to invest in many projects. I don't see enough potential in these NFT games.

From my personal view, I hope that DAOs can gradually develop and do many things that are beneficial to society. This doesn’t mean that DAOs can replace centralized organizations on a large scale, I think it can only be used as an auxiliary. My opinion is that human history shows that centralized organizations (countries, large and small companies, institutions) are the mainstream, and decentralized organizations can help in some aspects that are easily overlooked and marginalized by them. I mean DAOs will become good auxiliary roles and will help to improve the efficiency of content that some centralized organizations can’t take into account, and help those at the bottom find new jobs and get more income.

In the process of the expansion of the blockchain bubble, there will be people make great fortunes, and there will be people lose all assets. Therefore, we should first avoid our thinking being limited to the prejudice that blockchain technology and projects are scams, and then spend some time and energy to study those valuable and unique blockchain projects to avoid our own energy and time is scattered in many scams that hype the concept of NFT and crypto currency, and finally, move forward step by step, waiting for our investment to bear fruit. After the bubble burst, those good NFT games and excellent DAOs will usher in a real highlight.

Finally, I want to say that, like many players who entered this year and started to play Axie Infinity, I agree the long-term stability of the SLP price is indeed important, but it should not continue to fall. For those who entered the game early and have already made money back, you can indeed say that it is just a profitable game, but for those who entered the game later and invested a lot of time, energy, and wealth, first of all it is an important investment for us, it is really not only a game!

I do hope that Axie Infinity can achieve long-term development and have a long life, but if the project team is always willing to stick to its own ideas and is unwilling to listen to the suggestions of players and investors, then I will be disappointed, like many others. I don't know how many people will leave after disappointment too many times. I have seen several instances of game update failures and Discord’s request to activate the right to speak, but scammers appeared in the activation channel, and newcomers were often deceived. I want to ask: Why doesn’t the game party activate the voice channel at regular intervals (every 2 minutes or 5 minutes) to remind new players to guard against scams and protect their Secret Phase Recovery? If you have a better way to maintain and increase the price of SLP, please take it out as soon as possible. Don't always ignore everyone's opinions and work hard on production reduction! It turns a blind eye to the security risks of player assets. After player assets are lost, they do not help to retrieve them, and do not consider new security solutions!
